Topaz in general is a gemstone of fine brilliance and hardness making it an extremely desirable stone for everyday wear. While it appears in a variety of colors, blue is by far the most popular as it ranges in shades from that resembling an aquamarine to deeper sky blues. Mr. Coin has taken this admired gem and implemented it into the CapriPlus collection as its color resembles that of the Blue Grotto waters and azure skies of Capri, the main inspiration for the collection.
The warm shades of sunset, the crystal-clear transparency of water, the bright green of Mediterranean nature, the relaxed luxury of the island… these are the elements that inspired Roberto Coin’s CapriPlus collection. With the selection of soft pastel stones, and rich woods, the collection emits a subtle earthy aura, of course done with Roberto Coin’s unmistakable sparkle thanks to the black, pink or yellow sapphires, amethyst, topaz, rhodolite or warm brown diamonds. Reclaimed ebony, cabochon Chrysoprase and orange moonstones are the most unique selections used.

Ruthenium Plated Sterling Silver. On all silver items, earring pins and posts and bracelet tongues are all made in gold.
Ruthenium is an extremely hard shiny gray metal that is used as a premier alloy for palladium and platinum and now silver to make them more wear resistant. Objects plated with ruthenium have exceptional resistance to scratching and abrasion. In fact ruthenium plated finishes are the hardest and toughest of all the plating choices. Used as a decorative alternative to black nickel, ruthenium plated surfaces can be modified from a light gray-white to medium-dark gray in color. |
