The project started with the aim of reproducing the same flexibility as fabric, using woven gold - a dream that many jewel manufacturers and designers have tried unsuccessfully to transform into reality. A new-patented manufacturing technique allows this degree of sensuous flexibility, the gold threads are woven together with different types of pinnings. The result is unparalled and the flexibility of Roberto Coin's Appassionata pieces now equal that of fabric. Many have attempted to imitate it these incredible pieces, but none have been able to produce this level of quality.
