Once numbering in the millions, the African elephant population has dwindled to between 470,000 and 690,000 individuals according to a March 2007 WWF estimate. The population is suffering due to the illegal ivory trade and loss of natural habitat.
The philosophy behind "Precious Earth" is to make jewelry as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. By using 100% recycled metals, Precious Earth pieces are of the quality high-end jewelry buyers expect, but without the toll on the environment and local communities that mining for precious metals can take.
