Traditional Balinese silversmithing uses a technique called granulation, which entails applying tiny beads of metal one by one. John Hardy has distilled this process by taking the traditional bead and flattening it, by hand, into his signature 'dot' pattern. The resulting pieces feature 18kt gold spheres that sparkle with the movement and dappled reflections of a tropical garden.
